Venice | 60th Biennale

‘Strangers Everywhere’ at the Art Biennale in the City on the Lagoon.

The Venice Art Biennale is a long-standing part of the Art Club program, and this year we returned once again to experience its 60th edition.

Curated by Adriano Pedrosa — the Brazilian curator previously responsible for the São Paulo Biennial and the first Latin American to curate the Venice Biennale — this edition offered a compelling and timely perspective.

Titled Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere, the Biennale, according to Pedrosa, focused on artists who themselves are strangers: immigrants, expatriates, members of the diaspora, émigrés, exiles, and refugees — particularly those navigating between the Global South and the Global North.

In addition to the national pavilions in the Giardini and the main exhibition in the Arsenale, we explored a number of carefully selected satellite shows across the city. And of course, we also took time to enjoy Venice’s culinary highlights, which made the experience all the more memorable.
